So one would hope that Clint Eastwood's daughter Francesca remembered to slap on the sunscreen as she hit the beaches of California recently.
The 19-year-old actress displayed her porcelain skin and curvaceous figure in a black strapless bikini as she splashed around in the ocean.

Francesca, who is currently dating celebrity photographer Tyler Shields, has posed for her boyfriend numerous times in the past.
And she clearly felt comfortable in front of the lens as she larked around on the sand.
For the impromptu beach shoot, the Mrs. Eastwood & Company star got her feet wet and jumped into the ocean, despite it still being in the middle of winter.

However, the sunny skies clearly helped, and Francesca didn't appear to be suffering much from the cold water.
Stretching out on the sand, the teenager also indulged in a bit of reading, picking up a copy of Los Angeles magazine and scanning the pages.

'Tyler Shields is the love of my life. We've been together 2 years and met doing a photo shoot together,' Francesca recently told People magazine of her much older boyfriend.
Shields has made a name for himself by taking controversial snaps of celebrities including Lindsay Lohan.
The couple made headlines in May last year when they burned a $10,000 Birkin bag in the name of art for a photo shoot.
Francesca's star status was further cemented when she was crowned Miss Golden Globe 2013 earlier this year.
She is currently filming slasher film Final Girl which is about a pack of teenage boys who choose the wrong girl to be the victim of their 'initiation'.
