A 90-second trailer was posted on the internet Tuesday and some have criticized it for being too racy while others have taken to the web to vent their frustrations that the most recent Sports Illustrated swimsuit covergirl doesn't show enough skin.
A spokeswoman for the Parents Television Council told the MailOnline that the car commercial 'isn’t selling cars, it’s selling sexual objectification' while disgruntled viewers think they don't see enough of Upton.

But Upton, who appears as if she'll strip down to the silky black bra underneath her tank-top, somehow disappoints internet commentators.
'Mercedes, you German bastards i wanted a wet t shirt and i didn't get it, your [sic] tacky and i hate you,' wrote commenter stockyD90 on the auto-makers YouTube page.
'why isn't she washing the car?!' wrote Darrel Khong.
And DisrupTer911 simply wrote, 'Fail.'

In the ad, Upton is seen grabbing a handful of suds, then sultrily blowing them at the camera.
She then strolls nonchalantly towards the luxury vehicle, apparently preparing to get her hands dirty washing the car.
She smiles seductively as she approaches.
Sadly for her fans she's just teasing - with a group of football stars instead doing the hard work.
Instead of joining in, Upton simply walks up to the vehicle, points at the bonnet and states: 'You've missed a spot.'

'People will always try to push the envelope,' Charlie Warzel at Adweek told ABC News.
'But at the end of the day, they’re going to want to make this sexually suggestive but also family friendly, and there’s a real balance there.'
As a bikini model they might have been hoping the 20-year-old would show a little more flesh.
She came to prominence when a YouTube video of her doing the Dougie at a Los Angeles Clippers game went viral in 2011.
She has since made the jump from swimwear to high fashion, fronting the January edition of British Vogue.
Kate has starred in Super Bowl spots in the past, including one for Carl’s Jr. during last year’s game.
